Bed & Breakfast, St Francis Bay

The time has come the Walrus said

These words are so true and embody our feelings as we prepare to leave St Francis Bay to start on our new life as a retired couple.
Our association here has been a long and happy one, starting off when we built our home and spent our first Christmas in the house in 1985. There followed 20 years of Christmas holidays with family and friends until we decided to leave Johannesburg and make St Francis Bay our permanent home.

That was the start of BriSan on the Canals B&B in August 2005. Our daughter, Shavonne Van Niekerk, and her family moved here to open the business while we sold our B&B, Chateau BriSan, in Gauteng. Fortunately we didn't have to wait long and we moved lock, stock and barrel to the Coast, arriving here on 9 November 2005.

The past 15 years have flown by and we would like to take this opportunity of thanking all our guests and friends who have stayed here with us during this time. It has been a memorable journey and we are happy to have known you and been able to allow you to experience the beauty and tranquility of our Village. We have watched it grow through the years and are proud to have been associated with this development.

To our loyal staff, Janet Harrison our Manager and Lillian Tsayitile our Housekeeper our sincere thanks for the years of hard work and dedication. We know you will succeed whatever path you choose. Now, as we start our retirement, we are moving down the coast to the Mossel Bay area and renting a property and freeing ourselves from the responsibility of ownership!

Wish us luck as you wave us Goodbye
